Welcome to the Jukar Lab

Welcome to the vertebrate paleontology and paleoecology lab at the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida! Led by PI Dr. Advait M. Jukar, we use approaches from paleobiology, ecology, evolutionary biology, geology, anthropology, and conservation science to answer fundamental and applied questions related to the evolution of vertebrates. Research in the lab spans 200 million years and is conducted at a variety of spatial and temporal scales. Grounded in specimen-based museum and field research, we use variety of analytical techniques and assemble large scale morphological and biogeographic datasets to address our research questions.
